- The Lord is busy preparing your feast
- He wants you to come and dine with Him
- You will be His “guest of honour”
- He will honour you in front of your enemies
- The unrighteous will ENVY you
- You will be blessed, even when they have tried to curse you

Today is certainly a sad day for South Africa – especially its honest citizens and has therefore been called “Black Tuesday” by die media.  Today, the “Secrecy Bill” has been passed by our government…There is still much speculation as to how this “law” (bill) will be enforced, but it is sad to hear that politicians will be able to hide their corruption behind this new “law” – this in a country, where politicians have proven to “set the standard for corruption”.

As a Christian, I pray for our government.  After all, this is what God’s Word instructs us to do in 1 Timothy 2:1-2: “I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone–for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness.”  When we pray for our government, the Word of God says that we will have a “peaceful and quiet life”…But today, our freedom and privileges have been taken away – not for our protection, but to “encourage and enforce corruption behind an iron curtain”…Now, only time will tell what the devastating consequences will be…

The word that comes up for me, is the word “transparency” – if you have nothing to hide, you can be transparent – in fact, you should be transparent.  Whilst I understand that certain information should be “classified”, e.g. military information and information of national security – this we will be able to accept and live by, but this “bill” was not created for these purposes – it was created to “protect corrupt politicians”.

As Christians, we should continue to pray for our government, but it is important that our voices are heard, so that the (corrupt) politicians will come to hear about Christ Jesus, repent, turn away from their wicked ways and start living a life of righteousness and holiness.

I want to urge all South Africans to pray for South Africa – our government, our president, Jacob Zuma, our ministers and other officials.  God has an enormous plan for our nation and all of us have a role to play.

In times such as these, I want to urge all South Africans to “speak life” over our nation and our government, even though we might not agree with everything.  This does not mean that we should be silent – no! Not at all.  God expects us to bring “all things into the light” and to expose wickedness and unrighteousness…As Christians, we should be heard, but we should be heard speaking life – not death!  Just look at what the Word of God says about “Speaking Life”:

“I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live” - Deuteronomy 30:19 NIV

“The tongue has the power of life and death…” – Proverbs 18:21 NIV

“Likewise, look at the ships: though they are so great and are driven by rough winds, they are steered by a very small rudder wherever the impulse of the helmsman determines.” – James 3:4 AMP

Therefore, we should speak up and expose things which need to be exposed, but we should also watch what we say (speak).  We should speak life in every circumstance and in every situation, as the direction and destiny of our nation is “in the power of the tongue”…

SO START SPEAKING LIFE!!!

On a lighter note:

Last night I watched a program on KykNet, called “2012 – As geld nie meer geld nie” – which can be translated as “when money has no value”.  I found this program extremely insightful, as it took the viewer back to where money began and where money lost its value for the very first time, namely during the “Great Depression”.

In the “good old days”, money had a “gold standard”,which meant that you could trade your “paper money” for gold at the Reserve Bank.  This was the international standard for the entire world utilizing a “paper money system”, as this was the only guarantee that your money is actually worth something, since it is “backed by gold”.

In 1933, the United States of America changed everything, by abandoning its gold standard, thereby removing the ability to trade your “paper money for gold”.  Not only that, but the paper notes also changed from having a gold standard, to simply reading “legal tender” on the notes…Therefore the only gurantee you have that your money is worth something, is the small, little signature found on the notes – this is your government’s “guarantee” to you as a citizen and consumer…

Today, money is made “out of thin air” – it has no value at all!  That is why we are seeing all of these problems across the world – this is why countries are seeing a trillion percent inflation rates (such as Zimbabwe, Argentina and even Germany after WWII).

The US Dollar is undeniably the world’s currency.  But what if the US Dollar suddenly had no more value?

Well, there will be martial law in the USA – stocks will freefall until Wall Street eventually has no choice but to “close shop”…Therefore stocks around the world will plummet and every country with any form of “deals, trading and alliance” will be brought to their knees.  Every bank will shut down and no one will be able to get hold of their finances, whether in the bank, in investments or anywhere else…Some countries may decide to print money, but since money is “created” out of thin air, it will be useless by the time it is ready to leave the printers…

When you understand Biblical Prophecy, the above mentioned scenario is not so far fetched – in fact it is going to happen.  This “global crisis” will prepare the way for the False Prophet, which will in turn prepare the way for the Antichrist.

The Antichrist is going to offer an outcome, but not only that, he is also going to offer peace for the entire planet…

The last couple of Sunday’s, I preached about Finances and specifically spoke about “The Kingdom of God” and the “World System”.  I also spoke about the “Spirit of Mammon” and how he operates in people’s lives…

In all of this, it is important to remember one thing…and that is that there is a huge difference between Wealth & Money.  Wealth are things with inherent value, such as Gold, Silver, Bronze, Property etc.  whereas Money is something used to buy and sell in the world system…If you understand this, then you also need to know that God governs Wealth (Deuteronomy  8:18, Haggai 2:8, 1 Kings 20:3) and that the Spirit of Mammon control’s the world system with money. (Matthew 22)

It is for this reason that I believe that God wants you to be Wealthy – He wants you to own Wealth (Gold, Silver, Property etc), which He governs (cares for).  I therefore pray that God will release Gold, Silver and Property to you, which He will govern for you…

Get out of debt today and loosen the grip which the Spirit of Mammon (Satan) has on your life – when you’re free from the Spirit of Mammon, you will be Financially Free!  You might say that you are so deep in dept, you don’t even know where to begin in trying to get out…If this is you, then simply:

1.  Pray and ask the Lord to release you from this Spirit
2.  Pray for the Lord to set you free (John 8:36)
3.  Pray and ask for the Lord’s favour, as you sow a seed
4.  Then simply start to manage your finances, as the Lord instructs you

Financial Foundations Part 2:

“The Lord will indeed give what is good, and our land will yield its harvest.” – Psalm 85:12 NIV

- The Lord will give you “what is good”
- What seems “good” to you, may not be God’s idea for you
- If you trust in, and rely on God to provide “what is good”, you will be blessed with a harvest
- Remember that “man’s thoughts, are not the thoughts of God”
- But God knows the dreams and plans He has for you (Jeremiah 29:11)
- So enjoy “what is good” from God – it’s HARVEST TIME!!!

The concept of a “Supernatural God”, has been highly debated for hundreds of years by various groups within the Christian faith.   As Christians, our faith is based on the doctrine that God has three distinct attributes:

Omnipotent - having ownership and authority over absolutely everything (in all of creation)

Omnipresent - being present everywhere; and at the same time

Omniscient – having complete, unlimited knowledge and perceiving all things

The Supernatural God is Omnipotent

This is, perhaps, the easiest of the three attributes of a Supernatural God to answer: Yes, God is omnipotent! There is even a verse that, in the King James Version and New King James Version, uses this very word: “Alleluia! For the Lord God Omnipotent reigns!” (Revelation 19:6).

The Greek word translated as “Omnipotent” here is pantokrator[1], meaning “All ruling” or (as it is more frequently translated) “Almighty.” When we say God is “Almighty,” we are stating our belief in His authority and rulership over all creation, and the Bible is firm in declaring this fact. Even though Satan is now the “god of this age” (2 Corinthians 4:4), it belongs to him only because Almighty God has granted it to Him: “And the devil said to Him, ‘All this authority [over all the kingdoms of this world] I will give You, and their glory; for this has been delivered to me, and I give it to whomever I wish’” (Luke 4:6 NKJV).

It is God who ultimately reigns in the universe, and all legitimate authority must derive from Him. If we let Scripture tell us of God’s authority, we must agree that He has all authority to do all His pleasure (Isaiah 46:10–11), and to see to the fulfilment of His plans without fail. If we accept the Scriptural definition of “almighty”- and as Christians, we must accept no other – we can rightly call God omnipotent. Indeed, Christ clearly says that “with God all things are possible” (Matthew 19:26).

The Supernatural God is Omnipresent

We need to ask ourselves…Is there any physical location in this universe where we can hide from the presence of God? The answer, according to Scripture, is a resounding “No!” In fact, King David posed this question directly, asking: “Where can I go from Your Spirit? [where can I flee from Your presence?] If I ascend into heaven, You are there; if I make my bed in hell [the grave], behold, You are there. If I take the wings of the morning, and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea, even there Your hand shall lead me, and Your right hand shall hold me” (Psalm 139:7–10).

David answers the question beautifully: it is futile to search for a place to hide from the presence of God.  In this sense, God’s infallible Word shows us that He is omnipresent -within His vast creation, there is no place where you can hide from His presence.

The Supernatural God is Omniscient

The Word of God tells us that God does perceive all things, which means that no fact can be hidden from His knowledge. As King David recognized: “Indeed, the darkness shall not hide from You, but the night shines as the day; the darkness and the light are both alike to You” (Psalm 139:12). God sees all things, and nothing can be hidden from His knowledge – not even the secret intentions of the heart (Psalm 44:21). In fact, He understands our own intentions better than we do (cf. Jeremiah 17:9-10; Hebrews 4:12). As Paul explains, “there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account” (Hebrews 4:13).

The Trinity of Creation

In Genesis 1:1, we read that “In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth”.  In this single sentence, we find the three basic elements, the “building blocks of the entire universe” (“natural realm”), namely: time, space and matter.  Since God created the “natural realm”, it is only logical to conclude that God exists outside our frame of reference, outside our natural realm, thereby making God, Supernatural.

It is interesting to point out, that even the Meriam-Webster Dictionary proves this conclusion, by defining the word, “supernatural” as:

“relating to an order of existence beyond the visible observable universe…and departing from what is usual or normal especially so as to appear to transcend the laws of nature”[2]

For decades, astronomers and scientists have been looking, for what it calls “the God particle” or “the invisible atom”, to “prove” that the universe came into existence by itself, without a Creator.  Stephen Hawking (2001), who has in the mean time given up his search for the “illusive God particle”, once wrote that if scientists could find the most fundamental laws (building blocks) of nature “then we should know the mind of God”.

God has provided us with undisputed evidence; not only of His existence, but also that He is a Supernatural God, the Creator of heaven and earth.  God has revealed Himself to the entire universe as a Supernatural God, through the “Trinity of Creation”.  Romans 1:20 says, “For the invisible things of Him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse”.  Although the word trinity is not found in the Bible, it is a word used to describe the Godhead: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.  1 John 5:7 reads, “For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.”

God’s Creation consists of time, space and matter.  It is a trinity, not composed partly of space, partly of matter, and partly of time.  A trinity is not a trio or a triad, but a tri-unity, with each part comprising the whole, yet all three required to make the whole. Thus, the universe is all Time, all Space, and all Matter (including energy as a form of matter).

In his paper, The Tri-Universe, Henry Morris writes:

“All three components of the three parts of Creation are trinities:  Time consists past, present, and future.  Space is comprised of three dimensions, depth, width and height with each dimension permeating all space.  “Matter is unseen, omnipresent energy, manifesting itself in various forms of measurable motion, then experienced in corresponding phenomena.”

The conclusion is simple:  God has revealed Himself to all of creation, in the natural, as a Supernatural God, through the “Trinity of Creation”.  God (Father, Son and Holy Spirit), who is Omnipotent, Omnipresent and Omniscient, created (through His Supernatural Power) “in the beginning (time: past, present and future), the heaven (space: length, width and weight) and the earth (matter: energy, motion and phenomenon).  The fundamental building blocks of nature, namely atoms (mass, energy and particles), also consists of three components, namely neutrons (composed of three quarks), protons (also composed of three quarks) and the electron, which is one of three kinds of subatomic lepton particles, namely muons, taus and electrons.

“Blessed shall you be in the city, and blessed shall you be in the country.” – Deuteronomy 28:3 NIV

- The Lord has declared that you will be blessed
- If the Lord has spoken it, will He not do, if He has promised it, will He not make it happen
- God wants to bless every area of your life
- In order for Him to bless every part, you need to give Him control of every part
- God wants to use you and if you let Him, He is going to bless you
- With God’s Blessing Favour, the impossible becomes possible
- With God’s Blessing Favour, mission impossible becomes “Mission Accomplished!”

We all have dreams.  We all have hopes.  But why do so many of us never fulfil our dreams?  How many people in this world today can really say: “I’m living the dream”.  Not even the folks in the big USA can say the famous words that they’re “living the American dream” any more…

Over the last couple of years in ministry, I have spent countless hours in ministry, counselling and deliverance sessions.  I heard many stories of dreams and hopes dying sudden deaths, due to (unforeseen) circumstances.  It is always sad to hear stories of middle aged men, having a dream of becoming a doctor, but unforeseen circumstances caused them to drop out of medical school.  Some women have shared they had dreams of being teachers, but they had to drop out of school due to circumstances.  The bottom line is “life happens”.

But “life happens” for all of us…So why do some still reach their dreams and others don’t?!  Excuses!  Excuses will kill your dreams!  This is why it is important to kill your excuses, before it kills you…

Many people know the story of Nick Vujicic – the man who is conquering “life without limbs”.  He could have dropped out at school – he could have dropped out from college – he could have dropped out from business – he could have dropped out from his faith…Think about this for a minute…What would you have done?

Well, he knew that while he is breathing, God can use him and that God has a plan and a purpose for him.  And right now, he is changing and touching so many people around the world with the love and the grace of God!  He is giving hope to millions of people with, and without disabilities.

He got up, even though Satan wanted him “down and out” – he killed his excuses and that is why he is living the dream.  Is it always easy?  No!  But living a life of victory means that there was a war – it means that you had to conquer something.  Victory is only when there is no one opposing you and you may go and “plant your flag” in the enemy’s territory – this is victory!

So get back up – kill your excuses and fight the greatest fight you will ever face – life!  But remember that you are not alone…God is always there, fighting alongside you.  The Word of God says: “If God is for you, who can be against you” (Romans 8:31), but goes on to say that “you are more than a conqueror” (Romans 8:37).  So kill your excuses right away and start living your dreams!

“The LORD your God is with you, he is mighty to save. He will take great delight in you, he will quiet you with his love, he will rejoice over you with singing.” – Zephaniah 3:17 NIV

- The most wonderful joy is knowing that God is with you.
- He is a mighty God who is able to save and rescue.
- He doesn’t tolerate you, He celebrates you!
- If God be for you, who can be against you?

This is my very first entry on my new Blog…I wanted to write about my life, my past experiences in ministry, my life as a husband and a father, but then I read an interesting article which made me think a lot about myself and my ministry…

I recently read an excerpt from Jon Acuff‘s international best-selling book, “Quitter”.  This hilarious, but still-so-serious book gives a lot of insight into the life of a Christian – especially ministry leaders.  It makes the bold statement that it is OK to be a “Quitter”, but not in the general sense of the word – to be a “Quitter” means to quit your job and step into your calling…

This is the main problem within Christianity today – Christians do not have any purpose and are certainly not driven by any…In fact, many Christians today find themselves in the world system’s “rat race”, trapped by the Spirit of Mammon – controlled by their finances…

A hundred years ago, your “job” was called a “calling”.  To me, the word “calling”, means that you were called to do this specific task – called by God.  You had a vision, a purpose and a destiny…

Today, a “job” is called an “occupation”.  So, a “job” has become something which simply “occupies your time”.

Luckily I realised this fact early on.  I grew up with the idea that I will be successful one day and that I will be successful, according the amount of money I had in the bank and in investments.  In my high school years, I started my own IT business and realised that I was quite good at it – in fact, whilst in school I already earned a descent “income”.  But what I didn’t realise, was that I would fall into a trap – a snare of Satan…So after school, I didn’t go study Theology – although I knew that this was my calling.  In stead, I expanded my IT business and continued to increase my income…Two years later, I realised that I was starting to get depressed, as I had no vision and no purpose and ultimately no destiny.  So I also became a “Quitter”.  I quit my job and stepped into my calling!

For the last 5 years, I have served God through my calling – I have vision, purpose and a clear destiny!

You may be thinking what about the finances?  Well, first of all, you need to understand the word “provision”.  This word consists of two parts, namely “pro” – which means “for” and “vision”…Therefore, when you have VISION, God supplies you with the PROVISION.  This is why Proverbs 28:19 says: “Where there is no vision ,the people perish“.

After reading this book, I did some research, only to find that I am not the first “Quitter” and most certainly not the last…There are many internationally-known ministers and missionaries on earth, who have also quit their job and stepped into their calling…

So I need to ask you one important question:  Are you doing a job, or are you fulfilling a calling, with vision, purpose and a destiny?
