Black Tuesday!

Black Tuesday

Today is certainly a sad day for South Africa – especially its honest citizens and has therefore been called “Black Tuesday” by die media.  Today, the “Secrecy Bill” has been passed by our government…There is still much speculation as to how this “law” (bill) will be enforced, but it is sad to hear that politicians will be able to hide their corruption behind this new “law” – this in a country, where politicians have proven to “set the standard for corruption”.

Money Value

Last night I watched a program on KykNet, called “2012 – As geld nie meer geld nie” – which can be translated as “when money has no value”.  I found this program extremely insightful, as it took the viewer back to where money began and where money lost its value for the very first time, namely during the “Great Depression”.

Many Preachers are Quitters!

Quitter

This is my very first entry on my new Blog…I wanted to write about my life, my past experiences in ministry, my life as a husband and a father, but then I read an interesting article which made me think a lot about myself and my ministry…

I recently read an excerpt from Jon Acuff‘s international best-selling book, “Quitter”.  This hilarious, but still-so-serious book gives a lot of insight into the life of a Christian – especially ministry leaders.  It makes the bold statement that it is OK to be a “Quitter”, but not in the general sense of the word – to be a “Quitter” means to quit your job and step into your calling…
